Norwich City winger Anthony Pilkington is wanted by Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni.

Pilkington won an Under-21 cap against Lithuania in 2008 but, as it was a friendly, he did not need an Irish passport to play.

He would require one to feature for the senior side - and Trap sent goalkeeping coach Alan Kelly to speak with Pilkington last month to establish if he was serious about declaring for Ireland , says the Irish Sun.
