Robbie Keane will not return to LA Galaxy until his Republic of Ireland duties are complete.
The striker is wanted back by the MLS club as they prepare for the weekend's Cup final against Houston Dynamo but he will remain in Dublin as the Republic of Ireland get set for Tuesday night's Euro2012 qualifier against Estonia.
Keane helped the Irish team to a 4-0 away win in Tallinn on Friday with a late double and the Galaxy were hoping he would head back to Los Angeles as the tie seemed over but the ex-Tottenham man has politely declined the request and will stay with his national team.
