Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has left the door open to Stoke City midfielder Stephen Ireland.
O'Neill suggested the ball is in the playmaker's court as he assesses his options ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
The boss, who is yet to discuss the situation with Ireland, said: "I've no issue with Stephen Ireland. The slate is clean.
"If he wants to play again, I'd rather hear from him but if he doesn't want to, fine."
