Bolton Wanderers midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker admits they didn't show up at Liverpool.
A 10th consecutive reverse against the Reds slowed any lingering momentum from the opening day victory over QPR, and has given the players much food for thought, says the combative midfielder.
"Ultimately, as footballers, you're as good as your last game," he told the Bolton News. "You would like a game straight away but we'll have a week to reflect on it, re-energise and make sure it doesn't happen again.
"Simply put, we're just very disappointed and didn't compete to the levels we had shown over the last two weeks.
"We have to be critical of ourselves and reflect on that now."
