Rennes supremo Pierre Dreossi has confirmed a bid has arrived from Portsmouth for striker John Utaka.
The Nigeria international is rated at £4 million by Rennes and while Dreossi refused to reveal the amount offered, he is said to be close to accepting the Pompey bid.
Ouest France says Pompey could include Niko Kranjcar in their offer for Utaka.
