Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila is ready to answer the call from Manchester United.
The Daily Star Sunday says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, along with his assistant Mike Phelan, made a personal check on M'Vila, 20, in Rennes' 2-0 home defeat against Marseille on Friday night.
M'Vila will be delighted at United's interest.
He has gone on record to reveal: "Manchester United is the club of my dreams.
"It is a very prestigious club and I dream to play for them."
If Owen Hargreaves fails to win his fight for fitness, M'Vila would look to be the ideal replacement for the England midfielder in the United squad.
