Released Manchester United striker Michael Owen says he's close to finding a new club.

Owen is a free agent after his release by Manchester United and revealed recently that he would only be interested in signing for a Premier League club.

The former England man took to Twitter on Monday night to reveal his excitement at a potential move, posting: "Getting closer to finding a new club.

"Had a good deal of interest but just need to pick right! Can't wait to get going again."
