Released Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is interesting Atletico Madrid.

The Swede, who suffered a serious knee ligament injury against Anderlecht in April, is a free agent having been released by Manchester United.

He's unlikely to return until January, and already has several proposals on the table from the MLS and China.

Sport says Atletico Madrid are interested, and manager Diego Simeone is convinced of Zlatan making a full recovery.

Atletico are unable to register any new players until January 2018 - which could coincide with Ibrahimovic's return to action.

It's unclear whether any pursuit of Chelsea talisman Diego Costa will impact on the deal, or vice versa.
