Released Crystal Palace goalkeeper Kleton Perntreou has signed with Chelmsford City.
The shot-stopper, who was with the Eagles for two years, was recently on trial with Ipswich Town. He was cut loose by Palace in September.
The Croydon Advertiser says when he left Palace in September, he claimed it was down to the Eagles looking to make a transfer, to free up space in the 25-man squad.
Now, he will challenge for a starting position in Essex, as Chelmsford look to maintain a promotion push via the National South play-offs.
