Released Bolton youngster picked up by Bradford

Bolton teenage defender Andrew Burns has been added to Bradford's development squad following his release from the Wanderers. The 18-year-old right-back, who featured in the Bantams' opening pre-season fixture at Silsden this week, has agreed a two-year contract.

Bradford's chief scout and head of football development Archie Christie said: "We're delighted to have him here. He's strong, he's quick, he's bright and he's a very tough-tackling right-back.

"He will go into our development squad to start with and I feel that he'll be perfect cover for the first team within less than 12 months."
