Bolton are expected to sign midfielder Keith Andrews, BBC Radio Manchester reports. The 31 year old is set to agree a two-year deal with Championship Wanderers after being released by West Bromwich Albion.
Andrews played in every game for the Republic at Euro 2012, and sent off in their final match against Italy.
The former Blackburn Rovers, MK Dons and Hull City player scored nine times in 20 appearances on loan at Championship side Ipswich last year.
Andrews will become Bolton's first new signing since suffering relegation from the top flight in May.
