Inter Milan management expect to discuss a new deal with Adriano over Christmas. The rejuvenated striker is inside the final two years of his current deal and rejected an offer tabled in August by Inter - which was for far less than his current £4 million-a-year wages.

"We will talk over Christmas," said Adriano's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi.
