Edy Reja refused to hit out at Napoli after his dismissal yesterday.

Reja was quickly replaced by Roberto Donadoni in the afternoon and said: "I had built in these four years an extraordinary team, only the last two months proved difficult. I played for everything. I wish Napoli and the Neapolitans the rewards they deserve."

Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport says Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis convinced Donadoni with a two-year contract and a promise of major backing in the transfer market.
