Pepe Reina says Fernando Torres has kept Liverpool's title hopes alive with his goals against Chelsea.

"That goal was so special because of the moment - right at the end," said Reina, who ran the length of the pitch to celebrate with his teammates.

"It would have been more or less impossible to get into the title race - that is why I wanted to join in the celebrations."

Reina accepts he and his teammates endured a difficult January - but insists the only headlines that matter are those written in May.

"Judge us on trophies," added the Spain international on liverpoolfc.tv. "This month has been difficult but it is a long race.

"There is still life, we're still in there and there's a lot of football still to be played.

"It has not been like this so far in my three years at the club. There's a different pressure but it's a good kind of pressure.

"We believe we are still in the title race - let's see what happens."
