Pepe Reina is seeking a release from his Liverpool contract.
The Daily Star says the 31-year-old is desperate to leave Anfield and is growing frustrated at the lack of activity in the way of a transfer.
And, with the Premier League opener just two weeks away, the Spain stopper hopes Liverpool will let him out of his contract two years early, according to reports in Italy.
Reina moved to Napoli last season, where he was reunited with former Reds boss Rafa Benitez, and would welcome a return to Naples, however, it is thought his preferred destination would be La Liga.
