Reina remains positive as Champions League football looks unlikely

Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina believes Reds fans and players should remain positive even if they fail to grab fourth spot in the Premier League this season. The Europa League is the club's last remaining chance to win some silverware this campaign, and with qualification for next season's Champions League looking unlikely boss Rafael Benitez has come under increasing pressure to leave Anfield.

"Everybody wants to play Champions League because it is a great tournament but there is a league as well to play in next season and probably a European competition [Europa League] as well," Reina told The Sun.

"It does not matter if we play Champions [League] or Europa League in terms of making a decision, it is just to be at the right club and Liverpool at the moment is the right club for me."

"I am really happy at Liverpool. The supporters and the club are also satisfied with my performance and attitude. That is why we have agreed six more years and I am very pleased."
