Reina proud to take Liverpool captain's armband

Pepe Reina was thrilled to lead Liverpool in their 0-0 draw at Wigan Athletic.

In the absence from the starting XI of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, the Spanish custodian also reflected on being given the captain's armband by Kenny Dalglish.

He told liverpoolfc.tv: "Everybody knows the captains of Liverpool are Stevie G and Jamie Carragher but in their absence it is a pleasure and an honour for me."
