Reina ban opens Liverpool door for Brad Jones

Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones is set for rare first team involvement after Pepe Reina's dismissal at Newcastle United.

Reina will miss the next three games, including the FA Cup semi-final with Everton, after his straight red card in Sunday's defeat to Newcastle.

The Australian goalkeeper hasn't been named in the Reds' matchday 18 since Roy Hodgson was manager and Liverpool beat Bolton 2-1 on New Year's Day in 2011.

Jones was bought by Hodgson for £2.3million from Middlesbrough in August 2010 but made just two appearances against Northampton and Utrecht.
