Reid pens new West Brom deal

Steven Reid has signed a one-year contract with West Bromwich Albion.

The 32-year old defender fell out of contract after he was unable to trigger the second season of the two-year deal he signed in April last year because of lack of appearances but he has now agreed an extension with the Baggies.

"I'm delighted Steven has committed himself to the club for another year," Albion boss Steve Clarke told the club's official website.

"He's a good pro, has bags of Premier League experience and is a great character to have both within the squad and around the training ground.

"If he has better luck with injuries, Steven will have a big part to play here in the new season."
