Peter Reid has no regrets leaving his cushy No2 role at Stoke City to take charge of Plymouth Argyle.
Reid surprisingly dropped into League One to return to management.
"I like responsibility," insists Reid to the Daily Mail. "I like being the main man. Once management is in your system, it's difficult to get rid of. I love it. All that matters to you is your club and as President Truman said: The buck stops here.
"This isn't a cosy job but you need to challenge yourself. Plymouth has a big fan base. Cornwall and Devon are two of the biggest counties in the country, they're great people and if we make it work, it's a club that can take off. I could have carried on at Stoke and it was difficult to leave. I could do media work but I've got a face for radio. I like a challenge.
"He may not admit it but I think even Andy Gray regrets not having a go at management. You have to test yourself in life."
