Former Sunderland boss Peter Reid can't believe Roy Keane walked out on the club this week.

Reid, now Thailand chief, said: "I was surprised to see what has happened with Roy.

"I can't understand why he has left, especially when he has the best chairman in the Premier League.

"Niall (Quinn) is an absolute diamond. Of course, I know him very well and the bloke is different class. He is a genial man - but he ain't no soft touch."
