Steven Reid is eyeing a new contract at West Bromwich Albion.

The experienced utility has proved his fitness in the last six months at Albion.

"I've got this season on my contract and then the club have an option for next season," the former Millwall man told the Express & Star. "It's an aim for me to earn a new contract and to stay with the club for a few more years.

"It hasn't been spoken about yet and I know it's down to me to prove my fitness and prove I can perform week in, week out, to earn a new deal so I can extend my stay.

"They have an option so I know if I do well I will be staying at the club, and if not we will see what happens."
