Reggina president Lillo Foti says a move to Lazio is off for defender Carlos Valdez.

Valdez was expected to sign for Lazio last night, but Foti revealed: "We tried to close the transfer with (Lazio president) Claudio Lotito. We speak of a great player like Valdez.

"But it was operation that would need more time, and so finally there were no conditions to close it. It could not be done in 5 minutes."
