Reggina boss Massimo Ficcadenti believes they deserved something from yesterday's 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan.
Adriano struck Inter's winner and Ficcadenti said: "In the first half we played better, but we still went into the half-time break 1-0 down. We are aware at least that we played a great game against a top club.
"We had to put Inter under pressure and that is what we did. We rarely ran risks and only got tired in the final 10 minutes."
Ficcadenti is still looking for his first career victory in Serie A, as Reggina have so far picked up just two points in eight games.
"We have to play like this against every opponent, even if it is a bad period of form for us. We did well against Lazio, Palermo and Inter, but did not reap what we sowed. We shall continue along our path to achieve safety as soon as possible."
