Manchester City boss Manuel Pallegrini has refused to blame the referee for his side's 4-2 loss to local rivals Manchester United on Sunday.
United led 2-1 at half-time after conceding to Sergio Aguero before goals from Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini gave the home side a slender advantage.
Juan Mata then scored United's third on 67 minutes and although he appeared to be offside, Pellegrini refused to blame Mark Clattenburg and his team for his side's defeat, saying: "I do not want to analyse the referee's decisions.
"They have to do their work, maybe the third goal was offside but it was one thing that happened during the game.
"That happened in the other game where we lost by an offside goal, but I'm not talking about the referee.
"I don't think the analysis will be about the refereeing decision. Our mistakes for at least two of their goals and the fact we didn't take our chances to score another goal at the beginning of the game will."
