Ref Phil Dowd has been appointed for Manchester United's FA Cup replay at Chelsea.

The Daily Mail says Dowd has history with Sir Alex Ferguson after the United manager once famously questioned his fitness, but his only previous game this season involving the Old Trafford club was their FA Cup victory over West Ham.

In that game he awarded United a controversial penalty, but ignored a legitimate appeal from West Ham.
