There's reports ref David Fernandez Borbalan was laughing at Real Madrid claims of bias after their 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid.

Real players and staff were furious with Borbalan's performance on Saturday, believing Atletico benefitted from several flash points during the game.

Lucas Hernandez's high kick on Real captain Sergio Ramos was missed by the ref, as was Angel Correra's challenge on Karim Benzema. Real also believed Atletico defender Stefan Savic should've seen red for his foul on Toni Kroos.

A Real source told Marca: "We knew it, we knew that with this referee this would happen to us."

It's suggested upon hearing Real's moaning in the away locker room, it drew laughter from Borbalan.

Marcelo hinted at the frustration in the mixed zone afterwards: "I'm not talking about referees, they're things that happen in football, whether it's a hand or not...

"The truth is that there could have been a penalty, I'm not talking about this issue anymore, three or four penalties, what do I know, these are things that happen in football."
