Ref accused of abusing PSG players during Barcelona defeat

German ref Deniz Aytekin is being accused of abusing PSG's players during their stunning Champions League defeat to Barcelona.

Two of the Blaugrana's six goals came from a pair of questionable penalties, while an edgy tackle inside Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's box by Javier Mascherano wasn't given as a foul.

And Le Parisien says Aytekin was rude towards the visitors all match long, having allegedly said 'f*ck you' to them on several occasions.

The president of the Paris based club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, hasn't hesitated in blaming the referee for their loss.

"It's hard not to think the outcome of the tie would have been different if we had competent officiating," he said.

"There is so much at stake, referees must be aware of it.

"Nerves and numbness are not acceptable at this stage of the competition.

"Everybody saw the penalty suffered by Di Maria, which would have seen the score at 3-2.

"I would rather not comment on [Luis] Suarez's penalty."
