Sunderland midfielder Adam Reed has joined Portsmouth on loan, reports the Black Cats official website. The 21 year old Academy product, who is captain of the Sunderland under-21 side, joins a Pompey outfit fighting against relegation from League One.
Pompey's caretaker manager, Guy Whittingham, told the club's official website: "Adam comes highly recommended by Kevin Ball, has played at this level before and will bring us plenty of energy."
