Liverpool legend Craig Johnston is encouraged by the work of manager Brendan Rodgers.
Johnston admits Liverpool's current position of 7th place in the Premier League is "surprising", but says he has been encouraged by the progress made during Rodgers' debut campaign at the club.
"Replacing Kenny Dalglish was always going to be a huge ask, an impossible job even," he told the Liverpool Echo. "But Brendan has come in and done some good things.
"I think things are looking good, personally. It is not perfect, and it will need more hard work, but I think the signs are promising."
