Jamie Redknapp has gone on to hail Chelsea manager Antonio Conte for transforming Diego Costa this season.
Costa endured a very difficult campaign last term but the Spaniard has been revitalised during the current campaign and following his strike against Manchester City on the weekend, the striker has managed 11 goals already this season.
Redknapp has gone on to hail Costa as the best striker in the Premier League at the moment and has credited Blues boss Conte for completely transforming the 28-year-old this season.
“Costa put on the best centre-forward display I have seen in a long time," Redknapp wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.
“He scored a goal, made another and despite being up against three defenders, Costa bullied City and ran them ragged. He is fit and firing and has completely changed his mentality — I'd love to know what Conte has done with him! We are blessed with the quality of centre forwards in our league.
“Earlier in the season I would have said Aguero was the best of the bunch but now I have to pick Costa. He is the perfect all-round centre forward."
