Redknapp wants "pace, passion" from Portsmouth tonight

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp wants "pace and passion" from his players in tonight's historic UEFA Cup clash with VitoriaGuimaraes.

"We are at home with, hopefully, a full house and it's important we show all our pace and passion and get the crowd behind us," he said.

"It is all about imposing our game on theirs and our aim will be to get into them right from the start.

"It's a tough task because they are a very good team, full of Brazilian and French players and all with terrific technical ability, but we are on form with two good wins behind us and we want a long run in this competition.

"When we won the FA Cup that was all I was thinking about - not so much the fact that it meant getting into the UEFA Cup.

"But now that we are in it we want to do well and we know how much it means to the supporters."
