Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has again declared he wants David Nugent to stay at Fratton Park.

The Blues boss was again asked whether he would be willing to let the striker return to former club Preston on loan for the remainder of the season.

But he was not interested.

He said: "No, I don't think so. It wouldn't be a clever move paying all that money for him and then letting him come back for nothing.

"At the moment I have got Kanu and Baros, I haven't got anyone else. Defoe's cup tied."
