QPR boss Harry Redknapp says Bobby Zamora's dismissal in the 1-1 draw with Wigan has cost them dear. Zamora starts a three-match ban at Everton on Saturday with QPR seven points adrift of Premier League safety with six matches left.
"Bobby's sending off was a rash decision and missing him for three games is a big loss," Redknapp said.
Zamora has scored five goals in 21 appearances for QPR this season, leaving Redknapp frustrated at him being unable to continue his partnership with joint top scorer Loic Remy.
He said: "It was a crazy challenge and it's cost us dearly because we lost him for most of that game and for the next three matches.
"He's not 100% fit but he's still a good player.
"When Bobby and Remy have played together we always look like we're going to win, but we can't get the partnership together."
