Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says he won't consider any new signing unless the player can his lift squad.
"I think British clubs will loan players out, with the current situation they will look to get players off their wage bill," Redknapp said.
"I've discussed it with the chairman but we haven't actually made a bid for anybody. One or two players that we mentioned, people were talking crazy prices for that we certainly wouldn't be willing to pay.
"If we can't get the players I think will improve the squad, then I won't bring in anybody. I'm not going to load us up with players that aren't better than we've got."
