Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has been named on the 13-man shortlist drawn up by the Russian Football Union (RFU) as it continues its search for a new national coach. Redknapp is currently out of work after being relieved of his managerial duties at White Hart Lane.
He was strongly linked with a role in international management with England in the wake of Fabio Capello's departure from the Three Lions hot-seat, but saw Roy Hodgson handed that job.
"The Russian Football Union plans to hold consultations on appointing the manager with the following specialists," the RFU said in a short statement.
