Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has sent his foreign players back to school.

The Daily Mail says Redknapp has sent 16 members of his Pompey foreign legion for English lessons.

The Portsmouth boss has insisted that the non-English members of his first-team squad of 28 head back to the classroom to learn "football talk" - using a Subbuteo table as a prop.

The crash courses concentrate on how to speak "Football English", learning basic expressions of the game.
