Former Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp feels they can convince Gareth Bale to stay, even if they miss out on Champions League qualification.

Spurs face top four heartbreak again tomorrow if Arsenal beat Newcastle United.

Redknapp told the Daily Mail: "The only player Tottenham would really worry about losing is Gareth Bale. But don't forget that Spurs have lots of money; their owners are enormously wealthy. They can pay Bale the top wages if they want and they might have to change the wage structure at the club to keep him.

"You have to pay a superstar top money. I think he'd be happy to stay at the club if they made the effort to keep him. You could build a title-winning side around him even if Spurs finish fifth this season."
