Redknapp rules out England: Too much to do with Portsmouth

Harry Redknapp says there's too much work to do at Portsmouth for him to consider the England job.

He celebrates his 200th game as Portsmouth manager today and said: "It doesn't seem long since I last took over and we've come a long way.

"The club is going in the right direction, the young owner is building a new stadium, we have a new training ground on the way and we have a great squad of players.

"I doubt I would get offered the England job and I have my work cut out at Portsmouth."

Redknapp returned to Fratton Park in December 2005 and rescued Pompey from relegation.

He added: "We went into the next season as a favourite to go down, won our first game against Nottingham Forest and didn't look back.

"To be sitting sixth, where we are now, is a great feeling."
