Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed talks with Manchester City for striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Spurs and City have been in negotiations for some time over a possible deal, with Adebayor's reported £170,000 weekly salary proving to be the only real stumbling block.
Redknapp hopes to seal a move for the striker soon, saying: "The chairman is talking to City about the player but where they are at, I genuinely don't know."
Adebayor will join William Gallas in being a high profile former Gunner at Spurs.
