Harry Redknapp has revealed that Newcastle United are on the verge of appointing Steve McClaren as their new manager.
The 54-year old former England manager has been heavily linked with the St James' Park post recently and that speculation grew rife after the club parted ways with interim boss John Carver earlier on Tuesday.

McClaren, who parted ways with Derby County at the end of last season, is expected to be unveiled by Newcastle sometime this week.
