Redknapp puts pressure on Tottenham strikers to fire them into top four

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is pessimistic about his team enjoying a top four finish at the end of the season, particularly with strikers Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko all struggling to score. Redknapp, though, does think that repeating the achievement of 2009/10 in qualifying for the Champions League would become more realistic if the trio contributed more league goals than the seven so far.

"It would make a massive difference to us if the front-men went on a run and started scoring goals in the Premier League.

"We're going from the San Siro to Blackpool, but the players need to have the same mindset."

Redknapp added: "We need Defoe to perform his usual trick, go on one of those little spells and get us eight or nine goals between now and the end of the season.

"And we need Crouch and Pav to weigh in with a few goals in the Premier League as well. That could make all the difference."
