Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has no doubts Peter Crouch will strengthen his England claims with his move to Fratton Park.

Redknapp said: "He's a regular anyway really, he's always in the squad. When was the last time he wasn't in a squad?

"Glen Johnson's come here and worked his way back in, Jermain was the same at the end of the season. David James is another and even Sol got back in the England squad.

"You have to be playing and if the team's doing well and you are winning games, people look at your team, they look at your club. Capello will obviously be coming looking at the players here so it's up to them."
