Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is convinced his defensive partnership of Sol Campbell and Sylvain Distin is as good as any in the Premiership.

He told the Portsmouth News: "They would be as good as anything in the country. I wouldn't swap those two for any other two.

"John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho are fantastic. Rio Ferdinand and the big Serbian Nemanja Vidic are outstanding.

"But our two would be right up there with the very, very best of them.

"The goalkeeper behind them is also the best, so it's a solid base to work from."
