QPR boss Harry Redknapp insists he's not pushing Loic Remy out the exit door.
Remy is a loan target for Newcastle United.
Redknapp told the Fulham Chronicle: "There's no reason Remy shouldn't be ready for the Championship if he's a proper player.
"I went to Barnsley with Robert Prosinecki and with no disrespect there's no one here (at QPR) who could lace his boots. He was one of the best footballers I've seen in my whole life.
"This man was a genius, and he was at Real Madrid and Barcelona.
"I took him off with four minutes to go and the 14,000 Barnsley fans gave him a standing ovation.
"Good players can play anywhere. If you can't play in this division - you're not a top player."
