Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has advised Spurs star Harry Kane against a move to Manchester United.
United are reportedly considering a £40million bidfor the England forward, but Redknapp claims it would not be a smart move for the 21-year-old at this stage of his career.
"It wouldn't help Harry," Redknapp told Sky Sports.
"He's at a great club in Tottenham and it would send out all the wrong signals to Tottenham fans if they sell him now.
"He is Tottenham. He's a young player and if in five or six years Tottenham don't get where he wants to go, they're not in the Champions League or whatever, then it's different.
"But he's still learning the game. He's a big fish at Tottenham. It's a great club, they've got fantastic facilities, a great training ground, good young players and an outstanding manager. I'm a big fan of Pochettino, he's excellent.
"The future is good. I think Tottenham with one or two acquisitions in the summer, the right players, they can challenge next year and try and get back in the top four.
"It's going to be an exciting Premier League season."
