Former Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp was full of praise for Kevin de Bruyne after a winning Chelsea debut against Hull City.
Redknapp wrote in the Daily Mail: "Kevin de Bruyne looks a player who can make an impact on the new Chelsea, but I can't imagine this team without Juan Mata.
"The little maestro was Chelsea's player of the year last season and I'm a massive fan.
"I'm fascinated to see if Jose Mourinho is too. I can't imagine he won't be.
"But if he doesn't fancy the little man for some strange reason, how about throwing him into one final bid for Wayne Rooney?"
