Redknapp: I would take Tottenham young gun Alli over Man Utd target Pogba

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has stated that he would prefer Dele Alli over Paul Pogba.

Pogba is regarded as arguably the best young player in world football at the moment and as a testament to how highly the midfielder is valued, Manchester United are believed to be ready to splash as much as £100million to sign him this summer.

Despite his wonderful abilities though, not everyone is convinced by Pogba and Redknapp has gone on to surprisingly state that he prefers Spurs young gun Alli over the French international.

Redknapp told bookmakers Betsafe: "I think my pride would stop me from paying a player 100 million when we gave him away.

"He's a great player, there's no doubt about that, but I wouldn't swap him for Dele Alli.

"If you asked me, Dele Alli or Pogba - who do you want? I'm taking Dele Alli in the long term."
