After victory over Bolton Wanderers, new Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp declared he will be in total control of transfers.

"The chairman will do the deals but I'll pick the players," wheeler-dealer Redknapp said after taking to the dugout for the 2-0 win over Bolton on his first day at work. "I wouldn't let anyone else buy my players.

"I'm not going to ask him to go and buy Ronaldo for me. There'll be some players out there in January who he'll bring in for us."
