Jamie Redknapp has labelled the latest situation between Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the club fans as similar to that of a break-up between teenagers.
During Saturday's narrow 1-0 victory over Norwich City, a section of Arsenal fans held banners calling for change at the club, however, their protest was met with a vociferous chant of "One Arsene Wenger" from the majority of the stadium.
As the managerial position of the Frenchman continues to be questioned, Redknapp suggests that things as they are will more than likely endure despite a large amount of negativity floating around the Emirates Stadium.
"I've covered the last three Arsenal matches and seeing their fans right now is like watching a teenage break-up," Redknapp wrote in his Daily Mail column.
"Some want a clean break from Arsene Wenger but there's still a lot of love there and most of them are willing to give it one more try.
"Wenger is saying nothing to suggest he will walk away and the club are not going to get rid of him.
"The demonstration was a waste of time but with Wenger the more people tell him to do something, the more resistant he becomes, particularly with transfers.
"It's obvious that Arsenal needed more firepower. Olivier Giroud hasn't scored for 15 league games in the most important part of the season.
"And I didn't like Alexis Sanchez's reaction to being subbed off. It was a show of disharmony that we never normally associate with Wenger's squads.
"It's when these kind of issues become obvious to the fans that you've got problems. The trouble for Wenger right now is his mistakes are obvious to everybody."
